This is a strong Dark Ale. Rich mahogany coloured strong dark ale with tints of toffee and raisiny, blackcurrant dryness. English grown Goldings hops lend a distinctly floral hop flavour in the background. Perfect for enjoying by the fire place.

Awarded World Champion Small Brewery 2004

Paddy's Brewery was crowned World Champion Small Brewery for 2004 at the Australian International Beer Awards. All Paddy's beers are brewed in the "In-House" Brewery using the highest quality natural ingredients, along with the traditional batch brewing process, which has been proven over time.

By combining world renowned malted barley, selected premium grown hops, pure filtered Sydney water and fermented with its own strains of yeast, Paddy's created its own range of fine natural beers.

The beers are all malt beers and guaranteed not to contain added sugar, artificial coloring, antioxidants or preservatives; this makes them an attractive alternative for the weight and health conscious person.

Gerard Meares is back as our Head Brewer after a three year absence. Gerard brings to Paddy's Brewery many years of experience in the brewing industry. We welcome his return to Paddy's.

2010 Australian International Beer Awards

Judging for the 18th Australian International Beer Awards was held at the University of Ballarat from April 27 to April 30. This year, 485 international beers and 622 national brews were tasted by a panel of judges.

The 2010 Australian International Beer Awards trophy winners will be announced at the presentation dinner on Thursday May 20 2010 at The Crown Palladium Ballroom Melbourne.
